Greetings from Finland,
Been coaching since 1996 when i ended my own playing career, just wanted to say a big thanks for this site!
Easy to use and to find drills, and especially nice for the head coach to send by e-mail the selected drills to the assistant coaches forehand.
I like it! Keep up the good work
Thanks Tom! Glad to have you on board!
Great site Jeremy… came across it around mid november and have been using it ever since. Fantastic drills and you explain them so well too!!
Thanks for taking the time and putting this site together
THANKS!!
Jeremy I just started using your website and the drills, your attention to detail is great and the drills and plays have helped our team this year. Thanks again
Jeremy,
I am coaching PeeWee 3 and am looking for drills that can be practiced in a full ice situation, that will show different changes on the fly. A perpetual or continuous drill would be awesome.
If you have anything, it would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Mark
Jeremy, My team played a AA Silver Sticks this past week end. We turned over the puck way to much in our own end. I am considering changing our breakout. I was wondering do you think it would be effective to have the wingers higher on the boards in the defensive end front of the opposing teams defensemen. When our defensemen wins the battle for the puck he can hit the center cutting up the ice, skate the puck, or pass to the winger who is high in the boards preventing the opposing defensemen from pinching. The winger can bank it off the boards to the neutral zone.
Jon – ABSOLUTELY! I love this variation, and use it myself with the teams I coach. Having this wingers high almost nullifies the pinch completely. Just make sure your centerman is swinging through close enough to provide support for the chip out, or the touch pass.
If you want to get even more aggressive, and make the other team’s defensemen panic, try flying the weak-side winger out of the zone as soon as the breakout begins to materialize. Or… even crazier, fly the STRONG side winger out of the zone. It’s much more risky, but forces the other team’s defensemen to make a decision. If you have smart defensemen who can handle the puck well, this can open up a ton of ice for them. Just my two cents worth… but I’ve had some success with all of the above strategies.
This is an awesome site for coaches! I am coaching a Midget AA team, and many of the drills I have used have worked out really well!
Thanks!
i agree with above post this is the best website of its kind on the web that i have found. Really helps me as a coach come up with new fun ways to work with our senior and junior teams.
Thanks Stephen!
This website is truly amazing. As a 15 year old these drills are VERY helpful and fun. I go to a prep school (Gilmour Academy Prep School) and we have our own arena with two sheets of ice. When we go on during study hall or before school with no coaches out there, these drills are very handy. My entire team checks frequently for new drills. Thanks for the awesome website!
Appreciate all the drills and the videos are excellent for review and training. Should be used by most associations for coach development.
Jeremy this content is amazing! i’ve been coaching for 4 yrs and i feel like i’ve been in the dark the entire time. you have shown me the light. thx bro’.
thanks hoz!
Hey Jeremy, been using your drill last couple year ,they been very productive for me and my players ,is there anyway i could purchase them instead of downloading all the timeO r do you have a drill book i could buy .
Thanks man!! We are actually in the process of putting together a drill book AND a playbook. I’ll keep you posted when they’re done.
This is a GREAT website. I have been training kids for four years now and this is by far one of the best I have seen.
Thanks For Sharing
Thanks – glad you enjoy it!!
