Hockey Small Area Games: Triangle 1-Timer
This is a fast-paced, small area game drill that incorporates a lot of one-touch passes and one-timer shots. Works REALLY well with the right group of players. Encourage your players to move the puck quickly and isolate the man.
As always – Click Here for the printout.
Enjoy!

We just ran this drill at our practice with 8u travel roller hockey kids. Worked great! The only twist I gave is that the players in the half circle could \’backcheck\’ to the front of the net. It made the \’forwards\’ crash the net more quickly and make crisper passes. Another twist is to keep everyone in their zone but require three passes or make everyone have to touch the puck once.

cool! these types of drills are very “modifiable.” i’m always making tweaks and adjustments to make them fit the situation… keep up the great work!
Which goal does each team shoot at? I could see value in either option (X’s shooting to the right or X’s shooting to the left). Thanks!
Ahhh… Can’t believe I forgot to mention that!! Thanks for pointing it out! X’s shoot to the right, O’s to the left net in the diagram.
